Manual Handling Training

As most jobs involve some form of manual handling, many workers are at risk of injury.

Whilst not all manual handling tasks are hazardous, around a quarter of all workplace injuries are caused by manual handling.

With sprains and strains being the most prevalent and preventable type of injuries in the workplace, investing in manual handling training ensures compliance with legislative requirements for risk management and injury prevention.

The training package includes:

 - Understanding why manual handling training is important

- Common mechanisms of injury

- Basic anatomy

- Manual handling principles

- Manual handling scenarios specific to your organisation and discussion of how the manual handling risk can be minimised.

- Practical application of manual handling principles

- Prevention

We develop a training package specific to the organisation’s needs.

Our training is run on site and we recommend session sizes of 15 participants.

Many of our clients schedule the sessions as part of a lunch time seminar with refresher sessions throughout the year.
