Functional Capacity Evaluations

Functional Capacity Evaluations are used to assess a person's suitability to assigned
physical tasks using a trademarked evaluation system known as WorkHab.

This system can be tailored to specific assessment needs and provides a
comprehensive report to help determine the short and long term outcomes for your client or employee. FCEs are routinely used by WorkCover, insurance companies, solicitors involved in personal injury claims, and employers.

Prior to the assessment, current medical information is gathered and approval
from the treating doctor is sought to ensure safety and involvement in the testing.

A variety of tests are used to determine the individual’s physical work limits including
lifting, pushing/pulling, sitting/standing, bending and squatting tolerances.

Cardio-vascular fitness, other functional abilities and manual handling techniques are also assessed.

Following the assessment, an easy to read and objective report is generated that includes
results and recommendations with an emphasis on return to work physical capabilities.

The WorkHab System is administered by trained and licensed physiotherapists.
