About Physiotherapists |
Pam Kaur Physiotherapy & Weight Management Centre was established in Hervey Bay in 2007 by a young entrepreneurial businesswoman. In July 2011, the practice was moved to Melbourne, VIC.
Pam Kaur continues to maintain an online presence, especially through her online store which allows for people who are unable to access the products showcased on this site, such as braces, supports, orthotics amongst other products.
This website is also designed to provide helpful and friendly advice on common injuries and conditions. Please click on the 'Advice' tab above to find information related to your condition.
Pam Kaur - Principal Pam (short for Paramjeet) Kaur graduated from the University of Canberra with a Bachelor of Exercise Science in 2003 where she also completed a minor in Nutrition. While studying at the Uni of Canberra, Pam was awarded the Golden Key Honour Society Award in 2002, recognising her achievements in being in the top 10% of all undergraduate students in the country.
Having worked extensively as an instructor, coach and personal trainer and realising that being an exercise scientist was not going to be enough to quell her hunger for helping people, she decided to enrol in a graduate entry Master of Physiotherapy program at the University of Sydney from which she graduated in 2006. Pam knew that she eventually wanted to start her own business, and so worked towards gaining as much experience and knowledge as she could before setting up her own practice. Pam has worked both in the public and private sectors.
Pam works with a range of patients treating everything from children's sporting injuries to neurological conditions. Pam specialises in dry needling and uses only evidence-based treatment, ie. treatment proven to work by good research. More importantly though, Pam uses a hands-on approach with her treatment because she knows what it takes to get someone better.
Just as technology, science and medicine progresses with time, so do physiotherapy treatment techniques. Pam brings with her new ideas and techniques which have only recently been taught in universities...techniques that WORK!
